Confectionery manufacture. Coloured historical artwork of jujubes being put into starch moulds during their manufacture. Jujubes were a popular type of Victorian confectionery made from gelatine, glycerine, sugar and flavourings. After drying, they were cut into various shapes and packed. This is Allen and Hanbury's Pharmacy in Bethnal Green, London, England. Artwork from The English Illustrated Magazine (1892-93).
