Bird egg display showing the great variety in sizes. At front is a hummingbird (family Trochilidae) egg, which are the smallest eggs found. At the back is an egg from the elephant bird (Aepyornis maximus), which became extinct around 1000 years ago. Photographed in the Bird Gallery of the Natural History Museum, London, UK.
