Description
Vehicle crash testing. View of the driver's compartment of a van during an impact test. The van has been driven into a wall at a speed of 48 km/h. The two anamorphic dummies respond to the impact forces in the same way as humans. Coloured greasepaint on the knees and head of each dummy is used to identify any collision between the dummy and the white-painted interior. Note how the seat belts have restrained movement on one side of each dummy more than the other. This test was designed to evaluate the vehicle's seat belts for US Government certification.
