Description
Throat tissue. Fluorescence deconvolution micrograph of a section through throat tissue. This tissue sample includes cartilage from a tracheal ring, as well as a dense irregular connective tissue called the perichondrium. The chondrogenic layer is also seen. The trachea is the airway leading from the mouth to the lungs. Cellular proteins are highlighted with fluorescent markers: g-actin (red), f-actin (green) and cell nuclei (blue).
