Dolphin jaw measurement. View of a museum technician using vernier calipers to measure distances on the jaw of a bottle-nosed dolphin's (Tursiops truncatus) skull. Bottle-nosed dolphins are swift marine carnivores which feed mainly on fish. This skull measurement may be used to make models for a museum display.
