Orthodontic brace. Coloured X-ray of a patient's face in side view showing an orthodontic brace attached to the upper set of teeth. This X-ray was taken to check the progress of the treatment. Braces are fitted to treat malocclusion, when the teeth don't close together properly. It is usually done as a cosmetic measure.
