Description
Sound level sensor. The sensor is at right, and is measuring the sound from a loudspeaker (background). The ear symbol on the sensor indicates that it is a sound sensor. The cable at left is a data logging cable, allowing regular or continuous readings of the sound levels to be logged on a computer for later analysis. Sound levels are measured in units called decibels. When working or socialising in noisy surroundings, it is important that sound levels are not too high, as this can damage human ears. This sensor is from Phillip Harris.
