Description
Magician performing levitation trick, illustration. This poster (circa 1894), features the American magician Harry Kellar (1849-1922). Kellar (born Heinrich Keller) presented large stage shows during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One of his illusions was the levitation of a girl, the Levitation of Princess Karnack, portrayed here. Inside the girl's dress was a board on which she was resting, which was connected to a metal bar invisible to the audience.
