Description
Coronary artery disease: false-colour coronary artery angiogram showing stenosis of the right coronary artery, an obstruction of blood flow in one of the arteries that supply the heart. In digital angiography, the arterial supply to the heart is outlined by means of a radio-opaque contrast medium injected via a catheter, & visualized using digital X-ray equipment. Here, the heart is roughly outlined in green; the right coronary artery appears as a black ribbon, & the obstruction as a pinched, narrowed section (pink highlight). This lesion is complicated by the presence of a smaller artery (running to left) & (just below) a bubble" (possibly a clot). green heart on blue: pink highlight to lesion."
