Description
South African snail on a piece of wood. A snail is an invertebrate mollusc with a protective shell on its soft body. Snails secrete mucus and contract and stretch their bodies to drag themselves along the ground. They can feed on a wide variety of food, from vegetation to other snails, depending on the species of snail. Snails are found all over the world. Photographed in Mossel Bay, South Africa.
