Description
Secondary kidney cancer. Gross clinical specimen of a sectioned kidney with a lump (white) that is a secondary (metastatic) kidney cancer. The cancer has spread from the lungs through the bloodstream. A metastatic cancer can be surgically excised, but will also require systemic (whole body) treatment, such as chemotherapy, to treat undetected spread to other areas of the body.
