Description
Savanna baboons. Family of savanna baboons (Papio cynocephalus) grooming and playing around a tree. This primate lives in large social groups (troops) in the savannah and forest edges of central Africa. Most of the day is spent foraging for grasses, flowers and fruits as well as insects, birds' eggs and even hunting young antelope. When fully grown, an adult male may reach a length of around 75 centimetres. Photographed in the Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe.
