Cirrus cloud. Scattered plumes of cirrus cloud in the sky. Depending on their shape, these clouds are also known as Mare's Tails" or "Stringers". Cirrus is a high-altitude (6,000-12,000 metres height) ice crystal cloud which forms delicate filaments or fibres. This cloud-type is usually associated with fair weather."
