Description
Visible light image of 1989N1, the first moon of Neptune to be discovered by Voyager 2. The spacecraft made this image on 24 August 1989 at a distance of 870,000km. Resolution is 8km per pixel. 1989N1 has an average diameter of 400km, and a surface reflectance of only 6%. This moon orbits Neptune at a distance of 117,600 km from the planet's centre.
