Description
These young leatherback turtles (Dermochelys coriacea) were collected from French Guiana. The leatherback sea turtle, sometimes called the lute turtle is the largest of all living turtles. They undertake the longest migrations of any sea turtle between breeding and feeding sites (nearly 6000 kilometres).
