Description
Gomori?ÇÖs histochemical method to detect acid phosphatase in the kidney, light micrograph. Acid phosphatase positivity in the proximal convoluted tubules of the kidney is due to the presence of abundant lysosomes, which appear here as brownish granules. These lysosomes are intended to fuse with endosomes to digest endocytosis-captured particles of the glomerular filtrate.
