Greater flamingos (Phoenicopterus roseus) foraging. Greater flamingos are large wading birds that feed on shrimp, plant matter and insects. They inhabit the lakes and coastal waters of southern Europe, Africa, Asia, Central America and South America. Photographed in the Camargue, France, in autumn.
