Description
Garden snail (Helix aspersa) with extended tentacles. Snails have two pairs of tentacles, the longer pair have eyes at their tips while the shorter pair are used to feel and smell. Both pairs enable the snail to orientate itself. The snail is detecting vibrations caused by tapping the plastic rod held close to it.
