Description
Feral pigeons and tourists. Rock pigeons (Columba livia) have adapted to living in cities, scavenging on scraps of food such as those left by tourists. In some cities they are present in large numbers and are considered pests. There is an estimated population of over 20 million urban and feral pigeons in Europe. Photographed in St Marks Square, Venice, Italy.
