Description
Cirrocumulus clouds. Sky filled with small delicate cloudlets of the cirrocumulus type, to form a Mackerel Sky". The illumination of the Sun behind the clouds can be seen. Cirrocumulus clouds form at high altitude (5,000-6,000 metres height and above) and are composed largely of ice crystals. They may form in lines, groups or ripples. The presence of cirrocumulus clouds indicates the approach of a frontal system and changing weather."
