Description
Female cape shelduck foraging for food. Cape shelducks (Tadorna cana) are found throughout much of southern Africa, around lakes and rivers in fairly open country. Adults of both sexes have similarly coloured body feathers. However males have a grey head, and females have a white face with a black crown, nape and neck sides. Photographed in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa.
