Sarcoma. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of a section from a sarcoma.This image is from an alveolar soft part sarcoma, or ASPS, a cancer that can come from different types of soft tissue, such as muscle, fat, or nerves. It may also be called alveolar soft tissue sarcoma, alveolar sarcoma of soft parts, or ASP sarcoma. Here multiple pink sarcoma cells are shown. Yellow connective tissue characteristically sub-divides the tumour. Red blood cells are also present. Magnification: x1000 when printed 10cm wide.
