Description
Predatory katydid. Close-up of a predatory katydid, showing its long forelimbs (left). Katydids (family Tettigoniidae), also known as bush crickets, inhabit mostly tropical regions. They usually feed on leaves and flowers, although some prey on other insects and small reptiles, using modified spines and limbs to either kill or capture their prey.
