Description
Frontal view of the miller moth (Acronicta leporina) resting on a nettle leaf in a garden habitat. The flight period is June to August with a single generation each year. This species is a member of the noctuidae family and is found throughout Europe and the western paleartic ecozone. The larval food plant is Birch and other deciduous tress. Photographed in Somerset, UK, in June.
