Description
Brown mouse lemur (Microcebus rufus) on a branch in Ranomafana National Park, Madagascar. This small lemur is endemic to rainforests on the eastern coast of Madagascar. It can reach a length of 12 centimetres, with its tail being almost as long again. It spends the majority of its time in trees. It is nocturnal, feeding at night on fruit, leaves, insects and gum. Brown mouse lemurs are solitary, but a male's territory will overlap with that of 2 or 3 females.
