Zebrafish heart. Illustration based on a 3D micro-computed tomography (CT) scan of the heart of an adult zebrafish (Danio rerio). The atrium (blue) is above the ventricle (orange). The bulbus arteriosus (red) connects the ventricle to the aorta (pink). Behind the atrium is the sinus venosum with cardinal veins draining into it (right). The zebrafish is a tropical freshwater fish belonging to the minnow family.
