Description
White blood cell enzyme. Series of stacked fluorescence deconvolution micrographs, giving a 3-dimensional view of the distribution of the enzyme protein kinase C-epsilon (PKC-e, green) around the nucleus of a lymphocyte (not shown). In each image the lymphocyte is rotated by a different degree showing that PKC-e does not cover the whole nucleus. It is thought that PKC enzymes may play an important role in the activation of lymphocytes and subsequent modulation of their cell structure. Magnification: x600 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
