Wetland trees felled by European beavers (Castor fibre) Beavers are semiaquatic rodents. They use their sharp teeth to break off tree branches and fell trees that are used to build dams in waterways. Photographed in Carmarthenshire, Wales, UK, at the site of a captive breeding programme for beavers.
