Description
Titan orbiting Saturn, Hubble image. Sequence of images showing Titan (brown) and its shadow (black) orbiting across Saturn. The sequence runs from left to right from top left down to bottom right. Titan, the largest moon of Saturn, has a diameter of 5150 kilometres. It orbits Saturn once every 15 days and 22 hours. Another of Saturn's moons, Tethys (white dot, lower left), is also seen. Images obtained on 6th August 1995 using the Hubble Space Telescope's Wide Field and Planetary Camera 2 (WFPC2).
