Description
Teasel seed head. Close-up of a dead teasel flower head (Dipsacus fullonum) after flowering. The teasel is a tall plant which lives in bare or grassy land. After pollination of the flowers, the seeds develop in the flower head, which is spiky to protect them. The action of the wind blows the head around, ejecting the seeds.
