Description
Sun rays. View of a large cumuliform cloud showing rays of sunlight. The light forms a shadow on a lower, thin cloud layer. The rays are sometimes, but incorrectly, called crepuscular rays. True crepuscular rays are only seen when the Sun is below the observer's horizon. The radiating pattern of light is an effect of perspective - the rays are in fact parallel.
