Description
Stingray (Dasyatis sp.) burying itself in sand. Stingrays bury themselves in sand to hide from predators. They feed on hermit crabs, worms, shrimp and small fish and they can grow to a wingspan of around 40 cm. Photographed at Looe Key National Sanctuary, Florida, USA.
