Still from prohibition raid. When assembled, this still was as high as a 2-storey house. This one was confiscated in a raid carried out by state police and Ewing County officials on a farm near Trenton, New Jersey, USA. Stills were used to produce illegal alcoholic drinks (moonshine). Prohibition in the USA (1920-1933) was the period when the production, sale and purchase of alcoholic drinks was banned. Photographed between 1926 and 1930.
