These include: an entomological tray of insects (upper left) from the order Orthoptera (grasshoppers, crickets and locusts); a herbarium sheet (lower left) from the first voyage of Captain James Cook, collected in New South Wales, Australia, in 1770; preserved fish specimens (upper right); shell specimens (lower right); and a handwritten tome (centre right). The herbarium sheet is labelled with the names of the collectors, the scientists Joseph Banks and Daniel Solander.
