Illustration of a group of scimitar cats (Homotherium serum) chasing down prey. They were found in Eurasia, Africa and the Americas 5 million to 28 thousand years ago. Scimitar cats had enlarged canine teeth with serrated edges that they used to bring down their large mammal prey.
