Description
Saturn's moon Pandora, Cassini image. Pandora is a shepherd moon of Saturn's F ring. It orbits near the edge of the ring and its gravitational force helps to keep the ring well defined. The Cassini-Huygens spacecraft was launched in 1997 to investigate Saturn, its rings and its moons. This image was taken by Cassini's narrow-angle camera on the 5th September 2005 at a distance of 52,000 kilometres from Pandora.
