Description
Saharan cow rock carving. Close-up of the head of a 'curled' cow in neolithic (Stone Age) rock art on a rock in the Sahara. During the Holocene African Humid Period (about 7000 years ago), the Saharan climate was wetter and supported savannah vegetation and animals, including cattle, sheep and goats. Photographed at Tinterhert, Dider Valley (Oued Dider), Tassili National Park, Algeria.
