Description
Roman kiln. Artwork of the construction of a large wood-fired kiln, as used on the Iberian peninsula during the Roman period. The underground fire lit below the kiln was used to fire pottery within the dome-shaped structure above. The Romans conquered parts of the Iberian peninsula from the 3rd century BC, establishing the territory of Hispania.
