Description
Osteoclast pits on dentine, coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM). Osteoclasts are cells that resorb bone tissue. Here, they have formed pits in the dentine tissue of a tooth. This image was created using MeX 3D software modelling with a colour depth map applied to show the depth of the pits. Magnification: x560 when printed at 10 centimetres tall.
