Description
Morning glory (Ipomoea sp.). This botanical illustration dates from 1776 and is by the British illustrator John Frederick Miller (1759-1796). Miller worked from the sketches made by the British artist Sydney Parkinson (c.1745-1771) who travelled on Captain James Cook's first expedition. The illustration is from the Cook Collection held in the Botany Library at the Natural History Museum, London, UK.
