Modified Laterjet procedure shoulder surgery, illustration. The Latarjet procedure (also called the Latarjet-Bristow procedure) is an operation to prevent recurrence of shoulder dislocations. This procedure involves removing and reattaching parts of the bones and muscles tendons in the glenoid cavity (the shoulder socket). Here, part of the coracoid process of the scapula (shoulder blade) has been removed (left) and fixed to the front of the shoulder socket (right).
