Description
MINERvA neutrino scattering experiment. Main Injector Experiment for v-A, or MINERvA, is a neutrino scattering experiment which uses the NuMI (Neutrinos at Main Injector) beamline at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab), Illinois, USA. MINERvA seeks to measure low energy neutrino interactions both in support of neutrino oscillation experiments such as MINOS (Main injector neutrino oscillation search), and also to study the strong dynamics of the nucleon and nucleus that affect these interactions. Photographed in 2010.
