Description
Menstrual hygiene. Mooncup device designed to collect the blood and tissue produced when a woman menstruates. It is fitted internally inside the vagina and it is emptied, cleaned and replaced as needed. It is made of non-allergenic silicone rubber. It is reusable and is intended to last for at least ten years, greatly reducing tampon and sanitary towel waste. Menstrual cups were first developed in the 1930s. The Mooncup Menstrual Cup is manufactured in the UK. Menstruation is the regular production of blood and tissue by women as the lining of the uterus breaks down. This normal process (a period) is prevented only when a woman becomes pregnant.
