Description
Madagascan dwarf chameleon (Brookesia minima). Brookesia are diminutive chameleons that occur in north and north-west Madagascar. This one is endemic to the rainforests of Nosy Be, an island off the north-western coast of Madagascar. It may measure between 28 millimetres and 33 millimetres in length. Chameleons are predatory lizards that feed on insects using their independently mobile eyes and rapidly extrudable tongues. Photographed in Madagascar.
