Lisa M. Diamond (left), US sexologist and developmental psychologist, measuring the response of a lesbian test subject to auditory sexual stimuli. Diamond is a professor of developmental psychology at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA. Her research focuses on the nature and development of affectional bonds, and the nature and development of same-sex sexuality. Diamond studied 100 women for more than ten years from adolescence into adulthood, arguing that for some women sexuality is not fixed. Her account of this research was published as 'Sexual Fluidity: Understanding Women's Love and Desire' (2009). Photographed in 2013.
