Description
King Camp Gillette (1855-1932), US inventor. Gilette is famous for his invention of a version of the safety razor. In 1901, he founded a company to sell the razor blades, with the company renamed the Gillette Safety Razor Company in 1902. Gillette was an advocate of utopian socialism, with his published works including 'The Human Drift' (1894) and 'The People's Corporation' (1924). Photographed circa 1906 by US photographer Benjamin J. Falk (1853-1925).
