Description
Illustration of the Kepler-90 planetary system. This system is made up of eight planets orbiting the Sun-like star Kepler-90. It lies 2,545 light years from Earth in the constellation Draco. The system has the most known planets of any extrasolar system, and the same number of planets as our solar system. Like our solar system, the inner planets are small and the outer planets large. The planets orbit their star much more closely than those in our solar system. This creates very high surface temperatures and so makes life on the planets unlikely.
