Description
Juggling robot. Robot known as Dynamic Brain (DB) juggling beanbags. This robot was adapted from an American robot known as SARCOS. DB has four cameras in its head which allow it to see the beanbags. It also has load and position sensors which allow it to juggle. DB cannot as yet correct any slight error which occurs in the juggling motion. It can only juggle for a few seconds because it has to rely on its programmers to find a perfect rhythm. DB was developed to explore issues of machine learning. It was developed by the independent researcher Mitsuo Kowato who is funded by the Japanese ERATO project. Photographed in Takanohara, Japan.
