Invasive goby caught during fish survey and being measured. This is a round goby (Neogobius melanostomus) found during a fish survey of the Lower Rouge River. This goby is an invasive species, which tends to eliminate native species called darters. This survey was carried out in August 2016, on the Lower Rouge River, near Wayne, Michigan, USA.
