Description
Incorrectly positioned nasogastric tube, X-ray. Nasogastric tubes are used to provide nutrients and drugs to patients, and when correctly positioned are inserted into the nose, and down the throat and oesophagus into the stomach. The tube here is seen running from top centre to lower left, with the lungs, heart and upper abdominal organs also visible.
